Hello Robin,
We chat a little on Twitter and was curious to know a bit more about your background as your knowledge of 8-bit systems is impressive. Any background/history you’d be willing to share, perhaps as a blog post, or byte-sized video? No worries if not, I’m just curious. Thank you for your content and your time to make it.

Hi David, thanks for asking. I’ve just always been curious about these computers since I was a kid, and the fascination never left. So I’ve just kept reading books and magazines, and then benefited from all the shared knowledge that appeared on the Internet since the ’90s. And I had always wanted to develop games as well, so that kept me motivated. I wrote a lot of little games in BASIC and then assembly language as a kid and teen, and then in my mid 20’s got a C64 game published by Loadstar. I also started writing some articles for them. Then I participated in an 8-bit coding competition in the 2000s and won a few years in a row. Those combined credentials got me hired to work on the C64DTV with Jeri Ellsworth in 2004, and that was my break to continue into professional game development on Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS games, and then a number of iOS games.
